THE EVENTSUNO GUIDE
Planning an accessible event visit
Questions to ask about tickets, entrances, facilities and the journey before booking an event.

Start with your specific requirements
Accessibility is not a single yes-or-no feature. Consider the route from transport to the entrance, seating or viewing position, toilets, assistance and the journey home. Contact the venue's accessibility team about the particular event, because layouts and facilities can change between performances.
Ask about the booking process
Check how accessible tickets and companion arrangements are handled, what information the venue needs and whether spaces must be reserved in advance. Do not assume a standard ticket includes an accessible viewing space. Confirm sightlines, step-free access and any restrictions that affect the seat or area you are considering.
Inspect the entire route
A nearby station or car park may have steps, steep gradients or a long route to the accessible entrance. Ask where drop-off is permitted, whether lifts are available and whether assistance needs to be booked. For the return journey, check that the same facilities remain open after the event.
Confirm facilities directly
Ask about accessible toilets, hearing support, quiet spaces, assistance animals and any medication or equipment you need to bring. If information online is unclear, describe what you need in practical terms. Save the venue's response and a contact number for the day.
Leave room for a change of plan
Recheck access arrangements shortly before travelling, particularly if the venue or event time changes. Nearby listings and general descriptions cannot guarantee that a place meets a specific access requirement. Direct confirmation from the venue, hotel, restaurant or transport operator is the best basis for your plan.
