The Melbourne Museum undercover car park is open from 6.00am to midnight daily. Enter via Rathdowne Street or Nicholson Street. Local bicycle facilities include bike lanes on Rathdowne St and Canning St. There is also a shared pedestrian/bike path on Nicholson St. Bicycle racks on the Plaza provide ample bike parking just outside the front door

Commercial filming and photography is permitted by prior arrangement only. Filming and photography is not permitted in the IMAX cinema at any time. Safety: Visitors must abide by warnings and instructions. For safety, footwear must be worn at all times. Please ensure that personal items are not left unattended. Museum Victoria will not be liable for lost or stolen property. Museum management reserves the right to refuse entry, to remove any person from the site and to inspect bags. Smoking, eating and drinking: Melbourne Museum and IMAX are smoke-free. Food and drink must only be consumed in designated food areas.
